CLASS 1A: *Semi-Finals*

#4 Mahanoy Area Golden Bears(4-6) vs #1 Tri-Valley Bulldogs(8-1) Nov. 6, 2021 7:00pm
Last Meeting: Sept.3rd 2021 Tri-Valley won 21 to 0
Preview:
Mahanoy Area comes into the game winners of their last two games over Pine Grove and Shenandoah Valley. Offensively, the Golden Bears average 14.7/pts a game, Defensively, they give up an average of 18.3. The Bulldogs enter the game winners of 5 in a row, finishing the regular season with 3 straight shutouts. I had the pleasure of covering the last game between these two schools, and Nativity was able to hang in for the first half, then the Vikings got rolling and came out victorious. North Schuylkill enters the game following a loss to Pottsville 20 to 12 in Double-Overtime in wet, soggy field conditions, which would end the Spartans win streak at 22 regular season games. Last Meeting: Oct. 2nd 2021 Northwestern Lehigh won 42 to 6
Preview:
After 3 straight losses, the Warriors finished the season strong with wins over Blue Mountain, and NDGP, putting up over 40 points in each game. For the season, Wilson Area averaged 30.5 points a game, giving up 23.9. Northwestern Lehigh finished the 2021 season with the best record in program at 10-0. The Tigers offensively put up an average of 37.6 points a game, giving up 13.2. On paper, these two seem to be quite equal, but we all know how stats can be thrown out in the playoffs, and like in every game, the only stat that really matter is the one on the scoreboard.
