COACHES COMMENTS:
“Evan finished his first year as a full-time football player after competing as a soccer player and handling punting and kicking duties as a Sophomore. He is an excellent kicker who is extremely consistent. He earned his way onto the field as a starting cornerback during camp last year. Evan is a phenomenal student in the classroom as a well as a student of the game. He is looking to make an impact in all three phases of the game during his senior year.”

Why do you play football ?
I play football because it provides an opportunity for both individual and team play. You can perform good or bad, but regardless of your individual performance, you have a great team to back you up.

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY ?
My favorite sports star is Jake Elliott, he’s an incredible kicker and both very consistent and humble.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most ? Explain:
My favorite play was my junior year when I got an interception which sealed the win for our team against Salisbury.

What was last year’s season like for you ?
Last year’s season was a great stride for our program, while we went 3-8, our team improved from 1-9 to 3-8 while adapting to a brand new coaching staff and even got a playoff appearance.

Who is the best player you ever lined up against ?
The best player I’ve lined up against is Gavin Menzter from North Schuylkill, he’s a kicker as well and I’ve trained with him a few times. Incredible talent and very humble as well.

What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game ?
I would love to visit Notre Dame Stadium. I’ve been a huge fan of Notre Dame my whole life and would love to visit.

What is your favorite Pro team, any sport ?
My favorite pro team is definitely the Philadelphia Eagles, watching them win the 2018 Super Bowl is one of my core memories.

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why ?
My favorite game I’ve ever watched was the 2018 NFC championship when the Eagles beat the Vikings 38-7. This gave them the momentum they needed to beat Tom Brady in the Super Bowl.

What sports movie would you watch every day if you had to pick one and why ?
Rudy ! Rudy is one of my favorite movies ever just because it revolves around Notre Dame’s football program and it’s a true underdog story.

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen ?
I’d love to kick a 50+ yard field goal in game. I’m going to do everything I can in case the opportunity presents itself.

Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:
I’d love to do track but unfortunately it interferes with baseball.

What is your most embarrassing sports moment ?
Most embarrassing sports moment was missing a 20 yard field goal as my only miss of the season. Granted the entire operation was executed poorly, it still hurts to think I was 3/4 on the year with a 20 yard miss.

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why ?
My go to activity is probably hiking or just spending time outside with the beautiful earth and nature that we are so blessed to have.

What is your favorite play to run ?
My favorite play is the PAT after the touchdown!

Which one, Sheetz or Wawa ?
Sheetz for sure, there’s no Wawa near where I live and I prefer Sheetz’ food selection.

What is your favorite vacation destination ?
Favorite vacation is definitely going upstate, deeper into the woods and nature. I love swimming holes and waterfalls that I could be lucky enough to find in the woods.
