WEEK #5 BRINGS COMPLETE


Parklands 14-7 defeat at the hands of Allentown Central Catholic takes the EPC to an open competition between all 9 teams. The balance in the Southern Division is so close, we may have all 2 loss teams in the District playoffs.

Bethlehem Catholic 28, Bethlehem Liberty 21

Bethlehem Catholic behind the arm of Jalen Richardson, who fired a 43-yard TD pass to Jaiden Ellis-Lahey with 28 seconds left to lead the Hawks to victory. Richardson passed for 244 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Bethlehem Freedom 38, Nazareth 21

Freedom behind runningback Deante Crawford go on an offensive binge as he scores 4 touchdowns in the route of Nazareth. Nazareth falls to 3-2 and Freedom goes to 3-2. With the game tied at the half, the Patriots came out strong. Crawford had 47 carries for 201 yards for the Pats.

East Stroudsburg South 57, Pocono Mountain East 6

East Stroudsburg South continued its dominance of EPN North teams. But faces Northampton this week. South goes to 4-1, East goes to 1-3.

East Stroudsburg South bolted out to a 28-0 lead early and never was caught. East Stroudsburg South travels to Northampton for the first-place battle.

Emmaus 84, East Stroudsburg North 0

Not much to say here, it was ugly. Emmaus’s 3rd string could even do no wrong. The only blemish is the loss to Allentown Central Catholic.

Allentown Central Catholic 14, Parkland 7

This defensive battle went to the Vikings 14-7. Tough running by running back Travis Foster led to this win for the Vikings.

Northampton 52, William Allen 0

Just not a game. Northampton played well on both sides of the ball.

Pocono Mountain West 9, Stroudsburg 3

This game went to overtime at 3-3 at the game’s end. PM West scored on a reverse to open overtime and missed the extra point. Stroudsburg couldn’t score and the final was 9-3.

Pleasant Valley 28, Louis E. Dieruff 12

Robert Papaleo took the ball 70 yards to the goal line and scored on the next play for a 7-6 lead early in the second quarter. Dieruff battled back late in the 3rd quarter when Rodriguez found Sell for a 99-yard strike. The score was then 21-13.
Pleasant Valley held on for a 28-12 win.

The game between Easton and Whitehall was postponed due to COVID-19.
