In the District XI Power Rankings heading into this weeks’ games concerning Colonial League teams in the 2A Classification Catasauqua leads the way with a .5900 rating, followed by Northern Lehigh’s .5658. In 3A Notre Dame Green Pond trails only North Schuylkill .7883 to .6651. Northwestern Lehigh is on top in the 4A standings with a rating of .6837, Wilson Area is in 4th place with a .6604 mark Bangor is next at .6495.

Hollywood has been doing his prediction prognostications only on social media, but starting this week, they will be included here, again this is just for Colonial League teams, so let’s get to it

WILSON AREA(4-0) at SOUTHERN LEHIGH(0-3) Friday night 7pm

Southern Lehigh has been a 5A power the past several seasons, but this year is a rebuilding process for the Spartans, Wilson, behind quarterback Cayden Stem is looking for a district playoff spot in the 4A bracket, I like Wilson to stay in contention 28-14

PALMERTON(3-1) at CATASAUQUA(4-0) Friday night at Northampton 7pm

Catasauqua’s stadium is still not ready to see action this week as field turf is still getting some finishing touches so this game will be played at Northampton, The Roughriders are led by QB Christian Frye who has thrown for over 300 yards and his favorite target is Wyatt Younes, who had 7 cathes for 121 yards and two touchdowns this past week in a 32-6 win over Panther Valley. Palmerton has Matt Machalik at QB who threw for 110 yards and two scores against Marian Catholic in a 54-0 win. I like Catasauqua to stay unbeaten 28-24

BANGOR(3-1) at Northwestern Lehigh(4-0) Friday night 7pm

Bangor coming off a 35-14 win over Southern Lehigh 35-14 Led by Eric Striba is averaging 103 yards/game and Kael Godshalk rushed for 101 yards on 13 carries in the win along with three touchdowns. Justin Holmes guides the way for Northwestern who is averaging 114 yards/game passing. Both teams can put up some points. Northwestern averaging 39 points while the Slater average 37. I like Northwestern here 35-21.

Rest of the predictions:

Tamaqua(1-3) 21 Salisbury(0-4) 7
Northern Lehigh(2-2)42 Palisades 14
Notre Dame Green Pond(4-0) 49 Jim Thorpe(2-2) 21
Blue Mountain(2-2) 28 Saucon Valley(1-3) 17
North Schuylkill(4-0) 49 Pen Argyl(0-4) 7
