Turnovers. The team that wins that battle usually wins the war. Minersville forced four turnovers and got a late insurance score following a fumble by a determined Green Knight offense with momentum on it’s side to secure a 35-27 win. It also helps when your quarterback, UCF bound Dante Carr run around, through, over and lept by the Green Knights to the tune of 297 yards on 21 carries for four touchdowns, the shortest being 25 yards and a long of 63.
For Pen Argyl, Mason Soos had a great game going 24-237 – 3 td – 2 int. The Green Knights fought hard in this game and nearly pulled off the upset.
