What is the best part of being a student-athlete for the program/school ?
The family that is built. Whether its out on the field or in the weight room, the team puts in everything they have for each other. You see heart grow within your pears because on the connections and bonds you make with while being a student athlete for Mahanoy Area.
Why do you play football ?
I play football because it’s something I need. It strengthens your body and gives you bonds that will last for life.
How long have you been playing football(any level) ?
I’ve played every year but 6th and Freshmen year.
It’s GameDay !! What are you looking forward to the most ?
I’ve been a lineman all my life, and the best thing to see is seeing one of your brothers running into the end zone.
I’m looking most forward to watching my brothers put points on the board and celebrating with them in the end zone.
Of all the road games you have played, which stadium had the best overall atmosphere, along with what made it so good ?
Marian, no other reason than the game itself. Their homecoming, and we come into their house and we get the job done in good fashion. With everything we did you heard our stands cheering. We made ourselves proud and everyone else who came to support us proud. When you make your town proud no matter whos house your in, the atmosphere is euphoric. Its an environment you’ll never forget. Maybe it wasn’t the stadium that night, but the atmosphere that night wasn’t like anything I’ve ever experienced. So Marian had to be the answer.
If the game is on the line, do you want to be on offense or defense ? Explain:
Offense, the defense’s job is to stop the offense. If my family is out on that field with the heart we have and the games on the line. No one is stopping us.
As an athlete, what has been your biggest achievement ?
As an athlete, my biggest achievement was 7th grade year as a DT, I had gotten 3 sacks and double digit tackles, as a 280 pound defensive tackle, those were numbers I had never seen.
What was the high point of the 2024 season ?
Marians homecoming game, from the start to end the day, game, and energy was perfect. It was a night lived like a movie and it will never be forgotten. The highest point of the game for me, Brian Gallagher with a diving interception which he landed right into our team. We celebrated as a team for our individual success. It was a night that can never be forgotten.
What are your goals for the 2025 season ?
To show people that we have the best system and coach there is to offer. Everyone including ourselves counted us out, but our head coach Mick has not only been mentoring and shaping us to be a great team but he’s made us see it too. He’s a man who is gonna teach you exactly what you need and he’s gonna show you can do it. He sees potential in people and brings it out without them even realizing it. People have had a lot more time of preparation and they think that’s going to put them ahead of us, but they don’t have a man like Mick coaching them. Though its a goal I know its already going to happen. Where not just gonna prove people wrong. Were gonna make sure they remember Micks name for years. He’s a coach I’m happy to put my body on the line for, and that feeling is shared with all of my brothers.
What are you going to miss the most from the class of 2025 ?
The people they are, no matter who you were talking to, you were gonna laugh. They were a great group to laugh with and learn from. They will be missed by players and staff for years to come.
Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like the most, and why ?
The person I wanna be like most is my fellow player Ben Lagaza, day in day out he’s pushing his body to the limit and he does it efficiently, there isn’t off days with Ben. He will show up and work harder than anyone on any given day. And that’s the exact kind of player I want to be.
Who is your favorite sports star and why ?
Cede Lamb, he’s my favorite player on my favorite team. He doesn’t just do what he needs to win. He’s gonna show up regardless of score or time.
Do you have a favorite play you remember the most ? Explain:
My favorite play I remember has to be the sideline interception from Brain Gallagher. It was a great play but in one moment our entire team was ecstatic and celebrating with each other. It was an amazing play followed by a beautiful moment.
Who is the best player(s) you have ever lined up against and what team did they play for ?
44, Niko Carestia, Schuylkill Haven, he’s a hard runner with speed. I look forward to lining up with him again.
What stadium, (HS/College/Pro) would you love to visit for a game ?
AT&T Stadium
What is your favorite Pro Sports team(any sport) ? Explain:
Dallas Cowboys, it was my family’s team growing up and it made me a fan.
What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why ?
I was young, but it was during Dak Prescotts and Ezekiel Elliott‘s rookie year, it was my introduction to the love of football.
What sports movie could you watch every day if you had to pick one, and why ?
The Waterboy, its an amazing movie that speaks for itself. There isn’t any particular reason I picked it. Just a very good sports movie.
Name one thing you’d love to do in football that may never happen ?
Score a touchdown, I’m a lineman, self explanatory.
Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:
Basketball, if I got hurt during basketball, I wouldn’t be able to forgive myself come football. I have love for a sport, and I’m not risking that for something else.
What is your most embarrassing sports moment ?
I wrestled for two years, and my first ever match was against a girl named Brenda Banks, she’s a 3-time state wrestling champ. Needless to say my first match against her… I got mopped.
When you aren’t playing, practicing, or training for sports, what is your go to activity, and why ?
Running, you don’t need anything for it and after awhile no matter what you will be tired in the end.
What would you prefer if you only had one choice: BBQ Wings, BBQ Ribs, or Steak ?

What is your favorite vacation destination ?
I’ve never been on vacation.
Family BBQ over the weekend, what are you cooking up ?
Trick question, everything, we got a big family that likes to eat and isn’t too picky.
If you were handed a lot of money, what would be the first thing you would do with it ?
Id take my partner on a date that she deserves.
Tell us something that you have a fear of ?
Watching someone choke, its strange but in the moment its terrifying.
Favorite Fast Food/Burger place and why ?
Tony’s, and the reasoning is screamers. Its a part of local history and it serves you the best burger you’ll ever have.
Have you ever been to a professional sports game, which ones ?
One, Cowboys and Giants season opener, I got to see my team dominate a rival. It cant get any better than that for your first game.
NBA, NHL, MLB, NCAAF, NFL, Which league is the best and why ?
I favor the NFL, but its just because that’s what I like watching most.
If you were to be stranded on an island, what would be three things you had to have with you ?
An Axe, a Cooking Pot, and Fishing Pole.
What is your favorite video game, on mobile and or console ?
Probably Minecraft, from 2010 till now its still good.
What toppings go on your favorite pizza ?
Banana Peppers, Sausage, Ham, and EXTRA Cheese.
APPLE or ANDROID and WHY ?
Apple, I’ve had both and my iPhone has lasted longer.

Vehicle, and I wouldn’t have a destination, I just want to be going and seeing what’s out there.

I need to achieve living comfortably, not rich or anything like that, just enough that I can provide.
Location you think would be the best place to live(ie: island, mountains, city, etc) ? Explain why:
In the middle of the woods but at least 30 minutes away from a supermarket, I find nature beautiful, and I want it all around me.
