PFNDan570FB’S Schuylkill/Colonial League Review of Week-8 ! @SchLeague @Colonial_League
**Review is from Schuylkill League teams games that were played at home**

Let’s start it off with the game I attended…
Jim Thorpe traveled to Tamaqua to take on the Blue Raiders. Jim Thorpe’s defense shut down, and out the Tamaqua offense, limiting them to just 114 total yards of offense and recording 1 interception, and at least 2 fumble recoveries. Tamaqua has lost their last two game by a combined score of 69 to 7.

In other home games around the league…
Southern Lehigh came to the Eagles Nest to take on Blue Mountain. The Eagles were picked by many this week to come out on top but, the Spartans of So. Lehigh had different plans. Blue Mountain would eventually lose to the Spartans 16 to 13. According to the local media in the area, Blue Mountain had the lead going into the fourth quarter 13 to 8 when the Spartans went 83 yards on 6 plays to take the lead 16 to 13 with 8:03 to play. Southern Lehigh held on for the victory 16 to 13.

Minersville, trying to keep their winning streak going, traveled south a few miles to take on the Hurricanes of Schuylkill Haven. Haven is struggling this season, mostly due to young talent. Minersville seems to be hitting on all cylinders as of late, winning 3 straight going into the game. The Battlin’ Miners would rack up over 350 yards in offense, lead by their stud QB-Johnny Adams, who ended the game with 302 yards passing, 3 passing touchdowns, and 1 rushing(11 yards). Schuylkill Haven’s Connor Goehring racked up over 200 yards rushing with 1 touchdown. Minersville(6-2) has now won 4 in row with a HUGE game coming up in week-9 at Palmerton(7-1)

North Schuylkill moves to 8-0 on the season after taking down Salisbury 42 to 0. Spartans offense is loaded with weapons everywhere, from their QB-Jake Hall, who threw for over 250 yards on 13 of 16 passing with 5 touchdowns. Then there is Josh Chowansky, who finished with just 78 yards rushing, but had over 100 yards receiving on just 3 catches in the win. Jake Hall leads the Schuylkill league in passing, with Johnny Adams closing in. Other players on this high powered offense include, WR-Joey Flail, and WR-Carl Brown to just name a couple. If I remember correctly, North Schuylkill has won 16 straight games, and 23 straight regular season games with their last loss coming to Wyomissing back in 2019 when they lost 31 to 14.

Remaining games…
Tri-Valley defeated Panther Valley 49 to 0
Marian Catholic upset Nativity BVM 19 to 13 in OVERTIME
Saucon Valley took down Lehighton 20 to 14
