Trailing 7 to 6 midway through the 3rd quarter, Pottsville scored 21 unanswered points en route to their 3rd straight Clash of 61 victory over the Blue Mountain Eagles at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium.  In the first half, the game was scoreless until the second quarter until the Tide scored to put the first points on the board, with the extra point kicked low, and was blocked, the Tide took the lead 6 to 0, being the score at halftime.  The 2nd half started with the Eagles going moving down the field steadily and eventually scoring on a touchdown pass from Gavin Bartholomew to Bryce Hensley from 7 yards out. The drive covered 63 yards on 10 plays, to give the Eagles the lead 7 to 6 with just over 6 minutes to play in the quarter. As mentioned, the Tide then went on to score 21 unanswered points to take the lead 27 to 7 until the final play of the game which saw the Eagle’s Eman Parker take the hand off with under 8 seconds to play and run 51 yards for the score to end the game. The Crimson Tide take the lead in the Clash of 61 Trophy Game series 5 to 4.
