Its the final week of the regular season this weekend and below you can see who the league leaders are thru week-9 but let’s talk about some of games that had big-time playmakers beginning with the six touchdown performance by Minersville’s Dante Carr(QB), who finished the game with 4 rushing and 2 passing touchdowns. Carr ran for a game high 146 yards on 9 carries while throwing for 176 yards. When Carr did throw the ball, his main target was Paiton LaPoint, who caught 5 passes for 121 yards and a score.
Another big-time game performance would come during the game between Williams Valley and Shenandoah Valley when Brady Shomper would throw for 4 touchdowns, going 9 of 10 for 234 yards. It wasn’t only Shomper and the offense putting up the points in this game, the defense and special teams stepped just as much, each scoring once with Evan Kandybowski’s 82 yard kickoff return for a touchdown, and Trevon Bair’s 85 yard INT return for a touchdown. Sage Smeltz converted 9 point after attempts in the game as well.
Notre Dame-Green Pond’s Matt Bodnar kept going on his hot streak as well, putting up another outstanding performance going 29 of 38 for 425 yards, throwing 4 touchdowns in the process. If there is one thing consistent with the Crusaders is they sure know how to produce very good, talented quarterbacks.
Southern Lehigh’s Sean Steckert scored on a 74 yard kickoff return adding to his touchdown total on the day, giving him 4.
Gavin Mentzer of North Schuylkill finished his game with 5 point after attempts converted along with a beautiful 51 yards field goal.
