The Pen Argyl Knights Shield Off the Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes

The Knights are victorious over the Hurricanes in Week 8 with a final score of 39-16. 

Damian Tyminski had four touchdowns for the Knights. 

The Knights received the kickoff to start the game. Leyden Hertz for the Hurricanes started the defense off strong by deflecting the first pass of the game. Quarterback Brad Rossmiller connected with Damian Tyminski for the Knights’ first touchdown. This duo connected on their next possession with Tyminski making a tough catch in the end zone. The score at the end of the first quarter was 13-0, Knights. 

Rossmiller continued to push his team up the field with completions and quarterback keeps. Kristoffer Kessler set his team up in scoring position. Rissmiller then finished off the drive, running up the middle for the touchdown. The Knights kept the pressure on with a pick-6 by Tyminski. The score at the half was a dominating Knight lead, 26-0. 

The third quarter continued with the Knights adding two more scores to their side of the scoreboard. Rissmiller hit Alex Moser with a 58-yard heave for the touchdown. Tyminski then added a 63-yard touchdown later on in the quarter. The extra point was blocked by Haven’s Aiden Myers. The Knights continued to shut out the Hurricanes, 39-0. 

The Hurricanes picked up the pace in the fourth quarter with two scores. Niko Carestia weaved through the Knight’s defense for a 65-yard touchdown. Myers completed the two-point conversion. The Hurricane defense got in some late-game action with Niko Castillo intercepting Rissmiller’s pass and running it into Knights territory. Myers then finished the job with a 42-yard score. Hertz caught the second two-point conversion of the night. The final score of this Week 8 matchup was 39-16, Knights.  

Head coach Brady Mutton and his Pen Argyl Knights will take on Panther Valley as the home team on Saturday, October 22 at 2:30. Mike Farr and his Schuylkill Haven Hurricanes will be away against Minersville on Friday, October 21 at 7:00.
