What does your offense need to improve on from last year? |
It will be an aerial display this season for Kensington as they return all of the starting position players in the passing game. Junior signal caller Jay Clark returns for his second season as a starter and has gotten much faster, stronger, and increased his command of Coach Quigley’s offense. His main target, Quadir Lockett-Smith, is possibly the best athlete to suit up for the Tigers in their program’s 9 year history. He is a threat to score on every play and will look to be playing on Saturdays next fall. They will look to replace 4/5 starters on the offensive line, but Coach Quigley has a great track record doing a lot with players that have little experience. The former head coach at Strawberry Mansion HS, he won this division just two seasons ago with only 17 players on the roster. He came onto the staff last season as the offensive coordinator and is taking over this year as the head coach. |
What does your defense need to improve on from last year |
The defense will be looking to replace two studs at linebacker. The secondary will continue to be lockdown with Lockett-Smith trolling the deep and Terrance Ross shutting down wideouts on the corners. Ross was a standout on the team as a sophomore, but took a short stint with Gratz last year, only to return to where his heart is for his senior season. |
What are your overall thoughts on this years team? |
This looks to be the best team in Kensington’s history. Last year the school posted its first winning regular season, going 5-4 and losing in the playoffs on a controversial call late in a 6-8 defeat. They bring back several key offensive starters and should be able to run up a lot of points with Coach Quigleys offensive system. One fun thing to watch is kicker Sean Plumley, by far the best kicker in the Public League and holder of every Kensington kicking and punting record. The former soccer star has only been playing football for 3 years, but is an amazing athlete and elite kicker. They have matchups with 3 suburban teams this season, including a rematch with New Hope-Solebury that features two teams with 2-year starting junior quarterbacks. The results of these games will tell you everything you need to know if the Tigers are for real or not. |
