COMMITTED TO PITT

Jahsear is a 3 year starter for Imhotep who will look to help Tep capture their second state title. His father Dion Whittington was a hard hitting safety for Martin Luther King and captured all public & all city honors so football is in his blood. As a senior he has taken more of a leadership role as he and his coaches feel this team has a chance to be very special given the talent returning as well as the experience gained during last season run to the state finals.

1. Why do you play football?

I play football because I love the game.

2. What is your current GPA?

2.9

3. Being fully committed to Pittsburgh since prior to your junior season what made them the choice over the other Power 5 offers you hold?

Pittsburgh showed that they loved me and my game, so I went where the love was.

4. What do you plan to major in upon enrolling at Pittsburgh?

I plan to major in real estate.

5. Favorite class in school?

Health

6. Favorite athlete of all time & why?

Marshawn Lynch is who I grew up loving.

7. Favorite moment thus far of your HS career?

My favorite moment I would have to say is when I got my first scholarship offer.

8. What was the 2022 season like for you?

The 2022 season went well, it could’ve went better though.

9. 2023 individual & team goals?

Team goal is only one goal and that’s a state championship. Individual goals are 15+ sacks.

10. All-time favorite football game to watch (College/HS/Pros)?

Clemson v Ohio State 2019.

11. Favorite restaurant to dine at?

Del Frisco

12. Favorite play to run & why?

Probably the exit stunt giving me an opportunity to use all my agility & athleticism.

13. Outside of sports what hobbies do you have?

I like to listen to music & play video games.

14. What scares you the most?

Not going all the way with football.

15. Who is the most inspirational person in your life?

I would say my mother & father.

16. Pregame music preference?

I would say NBA YoungBoy, Lil Durk, Lil Baby and Rod Wave.

17. Favorite childhood gift?

Probably would be the new madden game each year.

18. What little league team(s) did you play for?

The Ivy Hill Saints, Enon Eagles & North Philadelphia Blackhawks.

19. What makes Imhotep special?

The Standard they have for every player as well as it’s really like a family.

20. Hoagie or cheesesteak?

Cheesesteak all the way lol
