Stephen is a great kid and excels at so many things. We are excited and looking forward to see what he will do this season.

GETTING TO KNOW MORE ABOUT STEPHEN:

What is the best part of being a student-athlete at GW High School ?
I actually don’t go to GW, I attend Arts Academy of Benjamin Rush but my school because it is based around the arts doesn’t not provide with many sport, so I play most of my sports for George Washington.

How long have you been playing football(any level) ?
I started playing football my Sophomore year of high school, so I will be going into my 3rd year.

What is your average in bowling ?
I’m still learning the game so my average is around 160. Once I learn those oil patterns and control my ball speeds, I will succeed as I do in all the sports I play.

Of all the road games you have played, which stadium had the best overall atmosphere, along with what made it so good ?
Out of all the stadiums I have played in, my favorite would have to be when we played Archbishop Wood at Tennent High School.

If the game is on the line, do you want to be on offense or defense ? Explain:
As a kicker & punter, I would obviously want to be on offense and either kick the gaming winning field goal or a game saving punt.

As an athlete, what has been your biggest achievement ?
My biggest achievement as an athlete would have to be getting All Public Kicker/Punter in my second year of doing both. I feel that it showed me that it doesn’t matter how long you have been doing something but it’s all about grinding and dedication.

What was the high point of the 2023 season ?
The high point of the 2023 season would either have to be winning our division this year or getting All Public.

What are you going to miss the most from the class of 2024 ?
Some of the things I will miss about the class of 2024 would have to be there dedication and how hard they worked, but also how much they really put their trust in the coaches plans and stayed the course.

What are your goals for the 2024 season ?
My goals for the 2024 season would be to get All City kicker/punter and to get a scholarship to play football in college.

Who is your favorite sports star and why ?
Jason Kelce has always been a player I aspire to be like because, it didn’t matter the things that were holding him back like his size because his passion and love for the game overcame his challenges.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most ? Explain:
My favorite play is ironically from my first game. It was against Frankford which we lost by a lot the year before and we were up by 2. It was 4th down in our half with 30 seconds left. I punt the ball and it was a bomb to give them bad field position and we won the game because of it.

Who is the best player(s) you have ever lined up against and what team did they play for ?
Since I’m a kicker, I don’t really line up against people but Archbishop Ryan this year and last were both very good.

What stadium, (HS/College/Pro) would you love to visit for a game ?
I have two stadiums that I would love to visit. One being everyone’s answer Penn State because of the atmosphere is unworldly but, the second one is Oregon University, because that is my true school and would love to be in that sea of green where I dreamed of playing.

What is your favorite Pro Sports team(any sport) ? Explain:
Being from Philadelphia there is one answer and it’s the Philadelphia Eagles. They have the best fan base in the NFL and there is such an unmatched energy in the city when they are doing good.

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why ?
Watching the Eagles win the Super Bowl was a game that the city of Philadelphia will never forget and after the game the city was filled with people just being happy for the city to finally get a championship.

What sports movie could you watch every day if you had to pick one, and why ?
My favorite sports movies would either have to be Remember the Titans or Coach Carter because both I feel are very realistic in the fact that there will be adversity but leaning on your team and coaches can get through anything.

Name one thing you’d love to do in football that may never happen ?
One thing I would love to do in football would be to either throw a touchdown or score a touchdown.

Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:
I might try out for the team next year but I would love to play volleyball.

What is your most embarrassing sports moment ?
One of most embarrassing sports moments is when I went to kick a 40 yard field goal and completely shanked it and had to walk off the field like it didn’t happen.

When you aren’t playing, practicing, or training for sports, what is your go to activity, and why ?
When I’m not training for all the sports that I do, I loving dancing and I have be doing it for 12 years.

Which one, Sheetz, Wawa, or Rutters ? Explain:
I’m from Philly so the answer is Wawa, they pretty much have whatever you need when it comes to food.

What is your favorite vacation destination ?
My favorite vacation destination is Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Tell us something that you have a fear of ?
I have a fear of being as cliche’ as that is I fear just being like everyone else, I feel that that’s what pushes me the most, the fear of being like everyone else.

Favorite Fast Food/Burger place and why ?
Panda Express has to be my favorite fast food place. Their Orange Chicken and Cream Cheese Rangoons are amazing.

Have you ever been to a professional sports game, which ones ?
I have been to almost all of the Philadelphia sports teams like Union, Eagles, Phillies, and Flyers.

NBA, NHL, MLB, NCAAF, NFL, Which league is the best and why ?
NCAAF is the best because, I feel that the fan bases are more Patriotic and your seeing kids fight for their dream every week.

What is your favorite video game, on mobile and or console ?
My favorite video game is either Call of Duty or Madden.

What toppings go on your favorite pizza ?
I mainly like plain but a place near my house has a pizza with Ricotta Cheese and Honey and that has to be my favorite.

Favorite School Subject ?
Exempt the obvious answer of PE, it would be Chemistry.

Favorite Band/Musician ?
They is an band named Bon Iver and he is my favorite no doubt.

Airplane, Boat, or Vehicle(motorcycles included), how would you travel and to where ?
If I travel with my father, it will probably be by car because, he hates flying so it would be to Utah, but if I do take a plan it would be Greece or Fiji.

Name one thing in life(NOT SPORTS RELATED) you would like to achieve:
Dance on tour with an Artist(Chris Brown or Justin Timberlake).

Location you think would be the best place to live(ie: island, mountains, city, etc) ? Explain why:
I would probably pick the city just because I am a very social person, so I need to be in a place where I can interact with people often.
