West Catholic Preparatory High School President Andrew Brady has announced the hire of Don Richardson as West Catholic Prep’s Football Head Coach. Coach Richardson brings 22 years of coaching experience to the program. Over the last 18 seasons, Richardson has served as an Assistant Coach at The Haverford School.

“It is with great pleasure that I announce the newest addition to our school’s athletic program- Don Richardson as our new head football coach,” Brady said. “After a thorough process with a lot of qualified applicants, Coach Richardson’s wealth of experience and passion for the game, as well as his knowledge about the tradition and legacy of West Catholic Prep made him stand out. We look forward to Coach Richardson’s leadership of the program, and invite all members of our community to join us in supporting our Burrs and our new head coach.”

During his tenure at The Haverford School, Richardson contributed to the team winning six Inter-Ac Championships in the last ten years, having coached a Secondary unit averaging ten takeaways per year. Richardson has also served as a coach in the Delaware County Hero Bowl All Star Game.

“I am blessed, honored and thankful to the hiring committee for their trust in me. To the West Catholic Prep family I am humbled to become a part of the tradition.” Said Coach Richardson. Coach Richardson is a graduate of Bloomsburg University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management.
