Here are the teams from District 12 who have made it to the PIAA title game and their overall record in the championships.

[table id=40 /]

District 12 is a latecomer to the party as the Philadelphia based schools only starting participating in the PIAA in 2004 for the public schools and 2008 for the Catholic League.  In the first six years since the PCL teams have come in, there have plenty of positives –  10 title game appearances and 5 titles.  Archbishop Wood has been the dominant school appearing four times in six years and winning two titles.  D-12 teams have won in three of the four classifications with the exception of Single-A.

District 12 title game facts:

  • Imhotep is the only team not in the Philadelphia Catholic League to appear in a title game.
  • District 12 has had at least one team appear in a title game every year since 2008 and has won at least one title four of the six seasons.
  • LaSalle College was the first team from District 12 to win a title.
