Kareim Mckellar had a day. The senior qb tore up the field throwing for 108 yards and a td while also rushing for 101 yards and two scores on just 6 carries leading the Electrons to a 22-6 win at the Germantown Supersite Thursday afternoon.
Olney took the opening kickoff and it looked like they were on their way to a score but the Electron defense held on and Franklin took over on downs at their 33. Neither team scored in the first quarter. The second Trojan possession also looked promising with good field position at the Franklin 47 but after a big gain to the 34 quarterback Marcus Sutton threw his first of 2 interceptions, this one picked off by Markel Nelson.
The Electrons went on a 55 yard drive that was capped by a 34 yard td pass from Mckellar to Mekale Smith. Mckellar hit Bakari Griffth for the two pointer to give Ben Franklin an 8-0 lead just 45 seconds into the second quarter.

The Electron defense once again stepped up and forced another turnover on downs at the 49. Mckellar ran in from 14 yards out to put the Electrons up 14-0 at halftime.

The third quarter started out great for the Trojans. The defense forced a punt and, starting at their own 43, the Trojans marched down the field with Sutton hitting Kymani Bass for a 28 yard score. A penalty moved the extra point attempt out of range and the score remained 14-6 in favor of the Electrons with 14 seconds remaining in the third.
Mckellar slammed the door shut on any comeback hopes with a stellar 42 yard td run, then Mekhi Nelson found David Gray for the two point conversion. Your final was Ben Franklin 22 Olney 6.
