Neumann defeated Southern 26-6 in the annual Thanksgiving Day Rivalry game at the South Philadelphia Supersite.

The game featured many extraordinary plays: interception returns, great catches and lots of turnovers. The highlight of the game was a rugby-style scrum with both teams pushing a Neumann runner in opposite directions. Neumann gained close to 30 yards on the play, just 1-yard short of the endzone.

Additionally, Neumann/Goretti presented the school’s first “Fan of the Year” award (Man in Black/gold jacket)

It is the longest running Catholic school vs. Public school Thanksgiving high school football game in the history of the city.
