Who is your favorite sports star and why?

My favorite sports star is Ray Lewis. His dominance and intensity on the football field was unmatched during his era, and his work ethic was truly remarkable. His game IQ was always improving and evolving. Matching this with his pure talent made him one of the best inside linebackers in NFL history.

Why do you play football?

I’ve played football ever since I was in 1st grade. It’s always been a part of my life growing up because I fell in love with it early. Once I hit the high school level where the intensity increased and more offseason preparation was prevalent, I became encompassed in the environment and always wanted to better myself through this sport. Football changed my life dramatically and I hope to be able to use it to get into schools that I normally would not be able to be admitted to without it. Also, the brotherhood and camaraderie that comes with the sport is something that may go unnoticed to the average fan, but it gave me lifelong friends that I see as family.

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like?

My mentor is my weightlifting coach/physical trainer. His knowledge of the anatomy of the human body and how to increase muscle growth through weightlifting and nutrition is inspiring. This type of information has interested me for years, so being alongside a coach with this much knowledge increases my work ethic and desire to learn.

Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?

I would consider my brother my biggest fan. He’s currently in the Army as a registered nurse and is stationed in Washington. Even though he may not be in the area, he never fails to call me before and after every game. He always streams the games and follows them in any way possible.
