Just a kid loving life in the Valley

Why do you play football?

I play football for the love of the game. Nothing can compare to the feeling of running on the field on a Friday night with thousands of fans cheering and screaming for 48 minutes. Nothing can compare to the butterflies one experiences before a game. I play for my community that supports me through thick and thin. Most importantly i play for my family who have been so selfless their whole lives on my behalf whether it be taking me to a practice or event. I owe it to my family to give every single part of me to that given game on a Friday night.

What cartoon character do you think your head coach most resembles.

I would compare him to the roadrunner. I believe this because he is always full steam ahead and worries about what he needed to get done. He has people who compare to Wile E. Coyote who try to bring him down and they continually fail. While others are worried about him, he is worried about what is ahead and the tasks he needs to accomplish

If your mom and dad are screaming at you from the stands, what is it they usually yell?

Well… if anybody is yelling at me it is my father, but not from the stands. He is 100% yelling at me from the sideline as my coach. My mother and family have been around sports long enough to know when to yell and when to stay quiet. My father on the other hand is not just my dad, but my coach.

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

My go to activity (outside of sports) is swimming (summer) or reading comic books (fall, spring, winter). I enjoy swimming in the summer due to the fact that it feels great after a long practice like a double session or just a regular summer workout. It is also time to goof around with my brother playing aquatic sports. In the other seasons, comic books take my mind away from modern world stress or problems. It keeps me in a peaceful state of mind and allows me again to relax after a stressful day of school or another workout.
