Coach says: “David has worked hard this offseason and looking to have a big year. He completed 62% of his passes last season and is looking to improve on that this upcoming season. David is also a very good defensive player. He led the division last season in sacks and hopefully that trend continues this season”.


Let’s get to know David!

Why do you play football?

I play football because I grew up in a football family. I generally love the game and I’m happiest when I’m on the field.

It’s gameday! What are you looking forward to the most? 

I look forward to the opening kickoff.

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

My favorite sports star is Nick Foles. I like Nick Foles because he was a leader, his teammates respected him, and he led the Eagles to a super bowl win after they were the underdogs.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

My favorite play so far was against honesdale when I hit Chase Rosenkrans in the end zone with a couple seconds left on the clock.

What was last years season like for you?

I felt like last season I learned a lot of lessons as a Captain and a Quarterback. I feel like our record was deceiving. We had a lot of injuries which lead to younger guys having to step up.

What are your goals for this coming season?

My goals for this upcoming season are to win a district championship, And give myself an opportunity to play football on the next level.

Who is the best player you ever lined up against?

My freshman year when I lined up against my cousin Lacota Dippre in practice.

When the game is on the line, which college/professional coach would you like to call in the play? 

Nick Saban

What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?

Sofi Stadium

What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?

Philadelphia Eagles

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

Eagles vs Buccaneers 2021, This is my favorite game I watched because I got to see Tom Brady play.

What sports movie would you watch every day if you had to pick one and why?

Varsity blues. This movie makes me laugh every time I watch it.

If your mom and dad are screaming at you from the stands, what is it they usually yell?

They yell to words of praise and encouragement for me on the field.

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

Return a kickoff.

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

My mentor is dad. He always has my back when I need someone. He pushes me hard both in the class room and on the field.

Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:

Track and field

What is your most embarrassing sports moment?

When I was a freshman I tired to punt the ball on 4th down but ended up kicking my running back instead.

Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?

My Uncle Kevin. My uncle Kevin loves Lakeland football and he always calls me to check in on how the team and I are doing.

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

Fishing and play the guitar. Fishing and playing the guitar really calms me down when I feel stressed out.

What is your favorite football memory to date?

Winning the district championship in 2022.

What is your favorite play to run?

Quarterback stretch.

What scares you the most?

Injuries.

Music of choice:

Rock n Roll

What was your favorite gift as a little boy? Why?

Getting new Video games. I loved video games as a kid.

What restaurant is your go to when you need a big meal?

Texas Road House

What is your favorite vacation destination?

Hollywood Florida.

Do you remember what the first football game you saw was?

The first football game I went to was when I was 2 years old my parents would take me to see all the Lakeland football games.
