With the exception of Week 1, the weather has been pretty good. However, our luck is about to come to an end as we are expected to get a lot of rain on Friday night into Saturday. Some games are getting moved to Thursday to avoid ruining the field, mostly the grass surfaces. Also I don’t like the rain at all. I work outside and it’s not fun when it’s pouring out. However, this article isn’t about my disdain for rain, this is about the Week 10 slate for the WVC. Let’s get into them, shall we?

Hawkeyes RB Jeremy Vega is rushing for 413 yards and five touchdowns on the season. Both teams elected to drop out of the District 2 3A Playoffs but Nanticoke is alive for a chance at the Eastern Conference Championship berth with a win. Hanover Area is looking to spoil those chances in the San Souci Rivalry.
Prediction: Nanticoke 28 Hanover Area 14

Patriots QB Drew DeLucca threw for 197 yards and three touchdowns in the victory over Crestwood. Warriors RB Rocco Pizano rushed for 166 yards and three touchdowns in the victory over Dunmore. Pittston Area is currently 6th in District 2 4A and it looks like they can make it in even if they lose. A Crestwood loss would get them into the playoffs. Wyoming Area is looking to finish the season and hopefully get the number one seed and a first round bye. Who will come out on top in one of the top rivalries in the WVC?

The Black Knights Cole Morio has two interceptions on the season. Both teams are in the playoffs. A win by Lake-Lehman could move them up from the 7 seed to the 6 seed. A win or loss by Riverside may not affect their seeding as the three seed. Which one comes out on top in this regular season finale?
Prediction: Lake-Lehman 27 Riverside 21
Dallas at Tunkhannock

Dallas has clinched a playoff spot and are currently the number 2 seed in District 2 4A. A win would most certainly give them the 2 seed and the potential for two playoff games. Tunkhannock is currently in the playoffs as the 8 seed. A loss can potentially knock them off. A win will get them into the playoffs but a loss and a Crestwood win will knock them out of the District playoffs A lot to look out in this matchup but who will come out on top?
