Three of the Area best teams enter week 4 without a game this week. Undefeated Old Forge found out Monday that Northwest Area had Covid and that game was canceled, Undefeated Scranton Prep lost there game to Dunmore to health Concerns, and (2-1) Dallas had to postpone their rivalry game with Lake Lehman. I asked Scranton Prep running back London Montgomery in the off-season what were his goals he said 2,000 yards and well he is well beyond on track for that.In Three games this season Montgomery has rushed for 814 Yards and 14 touchdowns his goals have quickly become a reality.

This is a matchup of two 4A teams that could very easily meet each other in the playoffs, after a rough season opener Tunkhannock has put it together these past 2 weeks Ben Chilson threw for 115 yards and 2 touchdowns last week and the run game for the Tigers has started to show as well they rushed for 133 yards and 2 touchdowns. North Poconos defense has been extrodanry this year six takeways this year is the most in the district, The Trojans have one of the most bbalanced offenses in the district led by Michael Blaine who has rushed for 160 yards and 2 touchdowns this season.

HANOVER AREA (1-2) at CARBONDALE (1-2)

Both teams are coming off of loses Hanover battled all game with Holy Cross but fell short in the end. Quarterback Christan Torres had 2 rushing touchdowns in the loss, Carbondale is coming off a tough lose to state ranked Old Forge, Running back Vinny DePalma has ran for 269 yards and 3 touchdowns this season and Davon Reams has ran for 144 yards and 2 touchdowns this season.

Both teams are coming off tough loses Riverside put up 91 yards of offense against Lackwanna Trail last saturday Reese Gaughan has caught 16 passes for 85 yards and a touchdown and Quarterback Noah Parchinski has thrown for 129 yards and 2 touchdowns. Honesdale is coming off a tough loss to North Pocono Connor Schmitt ran for 212 yards and 2 touchdowns and currently has 362 yards and 3 touchdowns on the season. Kage Southerton is having a great year at wide recover as well he has 13 receptiond for 236 yards and 2 touchdowns on the year.
PREDICTION HONESDALE 48, RIVERSIDE 13
ABINGTON HEIGHTS (1-2) at WYOMING VALLEY WEST (1-2)

Both teams are coming off loses, Abington did there best against state ranked Valley View but fell victam to the Cougars Quarterback PT Cutrufello has played very good as the first year starter he has thrown for 285 yards and 4 touchdowns this season. The defense is giving up 19 points a game. The past 2 weeks for Valley West have been tough an overtime loss to Dallas on a controversial call,and last week the Spartans were upset by Pittston Area there has been a lot of bright sides this year for the Spartans Isaiah Cobb has ran for 503 yards and 7 touchdowns and Connor Oilsewski has 3 interceptions this year.

Paupack is coming off a tough loss to state ranked Scranton Prep, The Paupack offense has been very soild with the three headed monster of TJ Schmalze, Shadrak Agyei and Mabret Levant. Schmalze has caught 13 passes for 265 yards and 4 touchdowns this season and Quarterback Mabret Levant has thrown for 282 yards and 4 touchdowns. Lakeland is coming off a blowout win over Susquehanna, Quarterback Dominico Spataro has thrown for 637 yards and 9 touchdowns this season.

Scranton got its first win off the season over cross town rival West Scranton last saturday Running back Bashiyr Murphy ran for 116 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win, Quarterback Arvel Chandler has ran for 257 yards 3 touchdowns.Valley View had another dominant win over Abington Heights last week ,Adam Howainitz has ran for 404 yards and 6 touchdowns and has aslo thrown for 226 yards and 3 touchdowns.
