Berwick PA is known for football, and it’s known for producing good football players.  It’s also know for producing some great football players.  Ron Powlus, Gus Felder, Bo Orlando are among the greats to have worn the blue and white. Teagan Wilk just might be the next Berwick great.

Since receiving his first offer, from Holy Cross, the stand out DB has racked up nearly 30 division 1 offers.  On June 1, he got one he really liked from ECU. Teagan took a visit to East Carolina two weeks later and today, he committed to one of his dream schools. He announced his decision on twitter:

We caught up with Teagan and asked him about his decision:

PFN: How long have you played football?

Teagan: Since I was 5 years old

PFN: Why did you choose to commit to the ECU?

Teagan: Coaching Pedigree,Vision for the future, expectations, and brand of football

PFN: Why commit early?

Teagan: I’m going to be an early enrolly which mean I’ll sign in December and I want to focus on my Senior Year

PFN: Who was your biggest influence at East Carolina, who recruited you?

Teagan: Coach Houston, Coach Trott, and Coach Hanson all really connected with me and ALL of the players were apart of my recruitment

PFN: What are they getting in player like you?

Teagan: Biggest thing they will get is a hard working kid who loves the game of football and will give his all to be the best he and the team can possibly be

PFN: What was the recruiting process like for you?

Teagan: The process was good, stressful but after talking with family and close people it has been really really fun

PFN: What position were you recruited for?

Teagan: Recruited as a Safety but I can play either safety and corner for them

PFN: Do you know what you’d like to study?

Teagan: Going to study Communications and Education

PFN: What do you think is the most exciting thing about the ECU program?

Teagan: They are a program that can be changed right away to be a power house again and will become a team that will compete nationally

PFN: Tell everyone out there in Pirates land something they’d never know about you until you told them:

Teagan: Pirate Nation…. I’m a very boring Guy.. only interested in one thing.. FOOTBALL

PFN: Who is the person who most influenced you in your football career?

Teagan: My Father helped me since day 1 and Lavar Arrington entered my life in 7th grade and became my 2nd father

PFN: What is it you’d like all your high school team mates and fans to know about your decision that you might have a hard time saying in person?

Teagan: To everyone on my High school team and in the community around me, Thank you for everything and I’m not done yet, us Eastern PA boys are breed different!!!!
