The Berwick Bulldogs took care of business to get back to .500, as they took down the Williamsport Millionaires handily. Both teams came in at 1-2, one would leave the game even, the other in the rabbit hole. (no pun intended)
Berwick got off to a hot start as Drey Wilk took 2 quick scores to make it 14-0 after just five minutes of play. By halftime, Spencer Kishbaugh made it 20-3 Berwick over Williamsport. Defense tonight was strong for Berwick, as the starting unit only allowed 3 points through over 3 quarters of play.

After two rough weeks to start the year, the Bulldogs have outscored opponents 83-10 the past two weeks. The run game was huge tonight as both Ryan Bankes and Bo Sheptock scored. In the 2nd half, Berwick was able to chew the clock away and really get into a groove running the football.
The offensive line tonight was much improved from the first 2 opening weeks, as QB Matthew Lonczynski had plenty of time to set and throw to his receivers. The one glaring issue though, was penalties. Multiple first downs and big plays taken away due to sloppy play. They were able to get away with it against Williamsport, but if they want to beat the great teams in the district, they need to clean up the mental errors.
Something to note: Drey Wilk did go down along with Bo Sheptock as they collided going for an interception. Wilk did not play the 2nd half. Sheptock was okay and finished the game.
All in all, one of the more complete games Berwick has put together in a few years, as they dominated from start to finish. Similar to last year, Berwick has gotten off to a slow start and has turned it around, can they keep it up though?
