Bonner Travels to Dallas for Class 4A Quarterfinal

Tagged under: District 12, District 2, Gameday Hub, News, Playoffs

| November 23, 2023

A year ago, Bonner Prendie lost to another D2 4A champion in the Crestwood Comets in 2022, this Friday they are looking for revenge against the Dallas Mountaineers.

ABOUT BONNER

The Bonner-Prendie Friars bring in an impressive 6-1 catholic league and a 10-2 overall record. The pair of losses came to Neumann Goretti and Delaware powerhouse Salesianum. Although they are 10-2 and Dallas is undefeated, Bonner brings a lot of skill and fire to the table. Mylachi Williams is the 4th-ranked prospect in the state of Pennsylvania and committed to PSU. Throughout the season, he has won the PCL Blue MVP and racked up 28 TFLs and 13 sacks on the year. Their main WR Jalil Hall is also a stud for the class of 2025, and has a plethora of division 1 offers.  Dallas’s offensive line has not seen a player like Williams and will have their work cut out for them. If Bonner is too beat Dallas, they need to find a way to limit Bonner’s athlete’s in space.

ABOUT DALLAS

The Dallas Mountaineers have separated themselves as the power in D2 4A football in PA after they captured another district title. One of the key components to the 13-0 Mountaineers is Dylan Geskey. He said, ” The key to win is taking special teams seriously, taking away the passing game early, and then stopping the run.” Geskey said that Bonner is hard to play against due to their tall and fast WRs and their stifling defense.  He says to help his team win he needs to do his job on all sides of the ball and let the playmakers make plays. This is by far the biggest test of Dallas’s season and it will be interesting to see if they can keep up with the speed of Bonner Prendie.
