Not many PA High School linemen can make the claim that they are a three year returning starter on a State Championship team; but whatever that number is, Bryce Hinkle (SR) Wyoming Area High School (District 2) is one of them. A player that Head Coach Randy Spencer calls “pound for pound” the strongest player on the team, Bryce is intent on taking a more prominent role as the Warriors begin defense of their first ever state title in the Fall of 2020.

Let’s meet Bryce!

How long have you played football?

Started playing football when I was 7 or 8 for the exeter panthers so 10 years plus.

Do I plan to play in college?

I’ve always thought about the idea and I still do. I would love to go play at the next level if I got something i could not refuse.

Do you play any other sports?

Used to play baseball growing up and in 7th and 8th grade but picked up track my freshmen year and just continued with that for my other school sport.

What is your personal goal for the 2020 season?

Just finish the season healthy and get some more awards for the wall.

What is your Team goal for the 2020 season?

Right now; we’re just going to take it one day at a time and when the season comes take it one game at a time;  but the end goal is to win another district championship.

What would you say are your strengths as a player?

I think my strengths as a player are toughness and a winning mentality.

Favorite game day tradition?

Honestly just sitting in my locker listening to music and hanging out with the guys. Nothing will beat the brotherhood and the family that we have in our locker room.

Favorite place to play besides home?

Probably Lake-lehman. I had my first start there in 10th grade and have a lot of good memories on that field.

Favorite post game stop for food?

Tipsy turtle pound of turtle bites after a game just hits the spot.

What you would say to your 13 year old self?

I’d tell myself just to keep your head down stay out of the noise as much as possible keep your friends close to you and hit the weight room hard.
