The longest running all star game in the country always seems to present a family atmosphere. The same could be said about last nights effort from the County team. There were no outstanding efforts from the County, instead they “played like a family” as Delaware Valley and County head coach Keith Olsommer said of his teams ability to count on everyone to get the 35-21 win.
“We had three kids running the ball well, our fullbacks ran the ball hard. Defensively we had many kids making big plays for us. Our line on both sides played really well” said Olsommer.
Delaware Valley’s CJ Ross threw touchdown passes to Ethan Tallo of Old Forge, Valley Views Sean Mackinder and his teammate Tim Kizis.
Warrior running back Joey Sciascia opened the scoring with a short TD run midway through the first quarter to give County a 7-0 lead.

It wasn’t until the 6 minute mark of the second before either team would reach the endzone, but then they scores came quickly. Mackinder hauled in a 66 yard bomb from Ross to make it 14-0, then North Pocono qb Will Soma hit Scrantons Charlie Thompson on a 69 yard td throw to bring the score to 14-7 one play later. Ethan Tallo closed out the first half scoring with a 34 yard TD catch to make it a 21-7 County lead.

Mid Valley running back Devin Ayala made it a 28-7 lead to kick the game into special rules. Wallenpaupack running back Shadrak Agyei ran for two yards and Paupacks TJ Schmalzle hauled in a 23 yard td from Mabret Levant to close out the scoring.
