Since losing to Dallas on September 2nd, the Crestwood offense has been on a tear. Over their last three games, they have scored 40 points or more. The Comets continued their winning streak to four as they took a 45-14 victory at Wilkes-Barre Area. Crestwood Head Coach Ryan Arcangeli on tonight’s victory. “This goes to our preparation all week long. We have a fantastic group of seniors that is buying into running the football. To beat a team like that, in a place like this after one of their biggest victories they’ve had.”

Crestwood started with the ball. They faced an early third and 8 and Jaden Shedlock and found Brendan Dennis for a diving 10 yard completion. Dennis then went for a 10 yard run on the next play. On the very next play, Noah Schultz went for a 48 yard touchdown run and a 6-0 Comets lead with 10:18 remaining in the first quarter.

However, two plays later, a fumble occurred on the handoff and Crestwood’s Logan Rolles recovered the fumble to end the Wilkes-Barre Area possession. Schultz went for 16 yards on the first play. After a Crestwood holding penalty, Schultz went on runs for 30 and 11 yards to the Wolf Pack three yard line. Crestwood went on a quick four play drive that ended on a 20 yard touchdown run by Shedlock for his second score of the game to make it 19-7 with 10:11 remaining in the second quarter.

Nelson added a 74 yard touchdown run around the start of the fourth quarter to make it 45-14. The Comets cruised as they took the 45-14 victory to win their fourth straight victory. Crestwood travels on the road next week to Hazleton Area, who will be coming off their first loss of the season to Dallas. Arcangeli on next week’s matchup with the Cougars. “They’re looking at the possibility of two straight losses and they’re not gonna want that. It’s gonna be really tough for us. We have to come back to work and be ready to go against the wall for four really tough quarters against a good football team and it’s gonna be a tough one on the road.”
