The Warriors faced the same situation they did in week 5. This time around, it was a different outcome. Fumbling the opening kickoff of the second half in their own territory, the Warriors came up with one of their most significant stops of the season en route to handling Valley View, their first loss of the season.

After both teams exchanged good drives that stalled out, the Cougars found the board late in the first quarter, mounting together an 83-yard drive that was capped off by a Kyle Rupp 9-yard touchdown reception from Zach Cwalinski, giving the Cougars a 6-0 lead with 30 seconds left in the first quarter.

The Warriors found the endzone on the first play of the second quarter as Logan Olsommer connected with Ryder Machado in flat who took it 59 yards to house tying the score at six with 11:47 left in the first half.

The Warriors were able to march downfield late in the second quarter, setting up Everett Bell for the go-ahead field goal from 32 yards, which he nailed giving the Warriors a 9-6 lead as time expired in the second half.

After stopping the Cougars inside the Warrior’s 30 after the fumble on the opening kickoff, the Warriors would march 70 yards downfield when the drive was capped off by Jayden Ramirez who caught a tipped pass of the hands of Jackson Corrie from 12 yards out. Giving the Warriors a 10-point lead as they led 16-6 with 5:13 l3ft in the third quarter.

The Cougar’s struggles would continue late in the third quarter when they would cough up the football with a minute left, which was recovered by Ryder Machado that would set up the Warrior’s next score.

The Warriors found the endzone on the first play of the fourth quarter when Logan Olsommer connected with Stanford commit Aiden Black in the back corner of the endzone from 9 yards out extending the Warrior’s lead as they led 23-6 with 11:57 remaining in the game.

The Cougars showed glimpses of a comeback as they would score 21 seconds later when Camryn Higgins took a handoff and busted up the middle 77 yards to the house as the Cougars now trailed 23-12 with 11:31 left in the game.

From there on out the Warriors controlled the clock and sealed the game when Ryder Machado scored from a yard out giving the Warriors a 30-12 lead with 1:24 left.
