“The O-Line is unreal, it’s unreal,” said Wyoming Area Rocco Pizano. The Warriors O-Line paved the way for offensive explosion Friday night, and also paved the way for Rocco Pizano who finished with 170 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Quickstarts have been a reason why the Warriors’ offense has been so good, and it was no different Friday night, it took 6 plays in 3 minutes to find the end zone at Dunmore’s veteran’s memorial stadium. The Warriors would use a dominant ground attack on their first drive before running back Leo Harris would eventually break loose on a 20-yard run that set the Warriors up in the Dunmore red zone and just 2 plays later Aaron Crossley would come off right tackle for a 26-yard touchdown run the extra point was good and with 9.15 left in the first the Warriors were up 7-0. The Warrior’s second drive would be very similar to their first, as once again coach Spencer went to a ground attack before Haros again broke free into Dunmore territory, setting up a one-of-a-kind night for Rocco Pizano. Just a few plays later Pizano would break loose for a 30-yard touchdown run, the extra point was good with 3.32 left and the Warriors now led 14-0.

Dunmore would have a solid drive early in the second quarter before it was halted when Thomas Bowden pass was intercepted by Rocco Pizano, and just a play after the interception Haros would once again break loose into Dunmore territory, this time it was a 51 yard gain that would set up the Warriors for another score when with 7.26 left in the quarter Blaise Sokach-Minnick would connect John Morgan for a 27-yard touchdown making the score now 21-0. The Warriors would score one more time in the quarter when Pizano took a handoff for 70 yards and went all the way to the house, surpassing the 100-yard mark on the night. The extra point was good with 4.10 left in the half, but the quarter came to a close with the Warriors leading 28-0.

The Bucks offense looked a lot better in the second half, they managed to get into the Warrior territory on back-to-back drives but failed to convert. One of the drives was halted by Pizano once again when he picked off a pass in the end zone, Both teams defenses played well in the third quarter as the only score of the quarter would late with 2.45 left when Pizano again took one 65 yards to the house now putting the game into mercy rule as the scoreboard read Wyoming Area 35, Dunmore 0.

The backups would play almost all of the fourth quarter, but that didn’t stop the Bucks from scoring, the Bucks had a long 12 play 7-minute drive capped off when Nico Ruggiero found the end zone from six yards out. After that, there was no more real action and the final was Wyoming Area 35 Dunmore 6, hear what Wyoming Area senior Rocco Pizano had to say about the win.

Wyoming Area (7-1) will host rival Pittston Area (3-6) while Dunmore (3-5) will host Lakeland (7-1)
