Going in it was expected that Berwick would not win, was going to be a low scoring game. Berwick won the coin toss and deferred to Valley View. The first quarter was a good quarter the Cougars took almost 6 minutes to score making it 7-0. Then Berwick gets the ball and take the remaining 6 of  the quarter, throw in a personal foul by defense, fast jump by offense, another fast jump by defense, Berwick walks it in the final yard and ties it up.

The 2nd quarter was a little more interesting, Valley View chews up some time but does not cross the line that matters and returns the ball to Berwick who follow it with a plus 7. When the Cougars receive the ball the take it all the way up to the 20, however due to blocking from behind by the offense it goes back 45 yards but that didn’t stop them and they fast tied it back to 14. Few plays later Valley View decides to stop Berwick pass, grab it and run it back, Berwick ends up stopping that, then with 31.7 seconds left in the half Berwick intercepts it back and scores ending the 1st half 21-14 Berwick.

The 3rd quarter was a very good quarter, if you are from Valley View. In less than 4 minutes into the 3rd Berwick make the score 28-14, but sadly that will be it for them. After a scoreless drive by Valley View, Berwick get the ball on the 1 foot line gets it to the 30 on the next play then on the next play the Cougars say no way, grab it from the air and take it back to the 15, and score shortly after. Remaining minutes if the the quarter Berwick started getting sloppy and making a lot of mistakes, ending the quarter at 28-21 Berwick.

The last quarter of the game was not Berwick’s quarter at all. The 1st 8 minutes was a lot of back and forth, a lot of errors on both sides but when Valley View scores with 4 minutes left, then again a couple minutes later make it 35-28. And this is how the game will end, final score 35-28 Valley View.

Would like thank everyone for being patient with me as this was my first game reporting, I have found a lot of mistakes on my tweets, next week when Berwick has a home game and plays Hazleton. I will always bring the game to you good or bad for Berwick. I have been a fan of Berwick ever since I moved to the town 42 years ago, and for the last 16 years hardly missed a game. Go Dawgs!
