The Wyoming Area Warriors (District 2) began defense of their 2018 Division Championship with a high flying 56-13 win over Mid Valley at home on Friday Night. Sr QB-DB Dominic DeLuca ran for 2 TDs in the first quarter (one for 9 yards and one for 22 yards) and passed for another (19 yards to Sr Brian Williams) en route to 28 first quarter points.

A 55 yard punt return by Williams rounded out the first quarter scoring. Sr Corey Mruk added a 23 yard TD in the second quarter. That score was followed by a 30 yard INT return by Jr Jacob Williams and a 6 yd TD run by Darren Rodney as the Warriors closed out the first half with a 49-0 lead. Srs Samuel Solomon and Derek Ambrosino helped pitch the first half shutout; holding the Spartans to just one first down in the first half. The Warriors travel to Scranton Memorial Stadium on Saturday Aug 30th for what should be a great battle against Scranton Prep.
