York-Adams Interscholastic Athletic Association (YAIAA) Division I action:

The Mustangs of South Western (2-5 overall, 2-2 League) were edged by the Wildcats of Dallastown (6-1 overall, 4-0 league) 28-27 in a thriller in league action. The Mustangs scored the first 21 points, and led 21-7 at the half. The Wildcats scored the next 28 points, and the Mustangs scored the final 6 points. Jake Jansen’s block of the Mustangs’ extra point kick sealed the deal with 1:35 remaining in the game. The Wildcats gained 291-yards rushing and 156 yards passing for a total of 447 yards gained. Quarterback Cade Gold completed 7 of 11 passes for the 156-yards and 1 touchdown, 1 for 57-yards and a touchdown to Owen Ritter, 1 for 38-yards to Dezmond Jones, 2 for 26-yards to Jacob Jansen, 1 for 14-yards to Addison Quinones, 1 for 13-yards to Sharod Wilson, and 1 for 8-yards to John Middleton, for the Wildcats. Quarterback Way III completed 5 of 11 passes for 154-yards and 1 touchdown, 3 for 146-yards to Sae’Quan Whitaker (including an 82-yard touchdown) and 2 for 8-yards to Danny Acevedo for the Bearcats. Lane Sherman led the Warriors 531-yard rushing attack with 142-yards (including touchdowns of 57 and 64-yards), followed by Elijah Jackson with 128 (including touchdowns of 26, 42, and 39-yards), Oakley Marsh with 73 (including a 70-yard touchdown), Edny Celius with 66 (including a 51-yard touchdown), Nathan Sharrah with 58 (Including a 55-yard touchdown), Dalton Lyons with a 21-yard touchdown run, Mitch Hoffman with 15 (including a 6-yard touchdown), Khalil Hill with 10, Jacob Hundley with 9, Jake Sharrah with 7, and Jake Myers with 2-yards. The Eagles of Bermudian Springs, (7-0 overall, 4-0 league) shut out the Squires of Delone Catholic (3-4 overall, 2-2 league) 38-0 in league action. Colton Dull led the Eagles rushing attack with 131-yards (including touchdowns of 51 and 4-yards), followed by Briton Shelton with 100, Quinton King with 20, Ryan Markle with 15, Phoenix Russell with 5-yards, and Tristan Hoke with minus 2-yards. Quarterback Markle completed 4 of 9 passes for 111-yards and 2 touchdowns, 1 for 59-yards and a touchdown to Brady Myers, 1 for 24-yards and a touchdown to Wyatt Gearhart, 1 for 23-yards to Derek Starner, and 1 for 5-yards to Shelton, for the Eagles. The Mid-Penn Keystone Division’s Patriots of Red Land (6-1 overall, 2-1 league) shut out the Mid-Penn Colonial Division’s Bulldogs of Big Spring 31-0 in non-league action. Garrett Scott led the Patriots rushing attack with 70-yards (including touchdowns of 5 and 16-yards, followed by Hunter Briner with 70 (including a 35-yrd touchdown), Jeremy Fisher with 38, Phil Overton with 33 (including touchdowns of 13 and 1-yards), and Justin Johnson with 23-yards. Quarterback Jake Radic completed 2 of 4 passes for 41-yards, Scott completed 1 of 4 passes for 1-yard, and Briner completed 1 of 2 passes for 13-yards, for the Patriots. Zion Ware led the Greyhounds rushing attack with 82-yards (including a 20-yard touchdown), followed by Victor Fermin with 21, Tyler Gustafson with 6-yards, and Andrew Norman with no-yards.
