Why do you play football?

I’ve always looked at it as my escape from the world. When I’m stressed and everything and everyone is against me I know football has my back. It allows me to be stress-free and enjoy the game.

What has been your best memory from football so far?

This past season when we played Manheim Central and we beat them. I did really good and watching my teammates do good brought me joy seeing us have fun and contribute. It really felt like family.

Who is your favorite pro athlete and why?

Jalen Ramsey, because I like to model my game after him and I like his attitude on the field. It doesn’t matter for me your not gonna stop me from doing what I have to do.

Who is your biggest fan and why?

My mom, she is always there for me whenever I need motivation. She supports all my decisions and she’ll always be in my corner.

What is your desired major in college?

Business management. I want to have my own business someday.

Coming off a year with COVID struggles, what do you think this year will be like?

I think things will go back to normal except for the mask aspect. We’ll have fans and the transition back will be smooth.

Someone from your community walks up to you and asks what to expect from the Conestoga Valley football team this year, what is your answer?

Redemption season, we are always looked down on and this season we have high hopes and coming off a season with high momentum. And we’re focused on getting better and if you thought last season was good just wait till this year.

Favorite play to run?

Man defense. I love it when it’s just me and the receiver and it shows who wants it more.

What is your personal goal for this season?

Change the heritage and reputation of our school. I want people to have respect for us and everybody votes against us and we beat the odds.

Sports movie?

Remember the Titans.

Sport you’d love to play but can’t?

Baseball.

Most embarrassing sports moment?

At a scrimmage, I was in the endzone on a deep ball and the ball bounced off my chest.

What are you looking forward to most this year?

Seeing what we can do. We have so much potential of making the playoffs and winning sections and districts. I also want to be on the All-Conference and All-State teams.

Favorite activities?

Write poetry, it helps ease my mind and taps on my creative side. It’s a good way to express myself.
