Why do you play football? 

I play football because it was something that had always been around since I was younger. Whenever I turned 10 I fell in love with the game, it was always something that would keep me occupied and on the right path.

What has been your best memory from football so far? 

My best memory from football was winning the state title!!

Who is your favorite pro athlete and why?

My favorite pro athlete is Alvin Kamara because he’s very dominant and he knows how and when to take over the game. No matter the play or where you are on the field you can always count on him to make a play for you.

Who is your biggest fan and why? 

My biggest fan was my grandma, she was always excited to watch me play. Every week when we would have a game she would text or call me and say “Ty, when’s your next game, and will it be live-streamed”. Ima miss calling her after every game to talk to her. She might not be here physically but I know she’s watching over me and guiding me through life!

Is there any specific person you look up to and use as a role model?  

Yes, I look up to my parents, because they are both two hardworking individuals, and they are always going out of their way to make sure I have everything I need whether it’s for sports or for school I know they will always have my back when needed.

What is your desired major in college?  

I haven’t really decided too much on one yet but right now I’m looking at business majors. I wanna start my own business when I make it pro to have some more money on the side.

Coming off a year with COVID struggles, what do you think this year will be like?

All I’m saying is we coming back-to-back with another title for the city.

Favorite play to run?

My favorite play to run is Portland or Zip Zona.

What is your personal goal for this season?

My personal goal for this season is to be a role model for the younger guys coming up and making sure we get the job done again just like we did last year.

Favorite pre-game meal?

I don’t know that’s a good question, our team mom has a lot of good pre-game meals that I really like so I can’t really decide which is my favorite.

Sports movie?

I really like Coach Carter.

Sport you’d love to play but can’t?

I would love to do NASCAR driving, but those crashes look a little scary.

Most embarrassing sports moment?

My most embarrassing sports moment is getting caught from behind by someone chasing me in a football game. That’s the worst the can possibly happen.

What are you looking forward to most this year?

I’m looking forward to winning another state championship and graduating high school, then going off to college and become an even better person and player.
