Dallastown HC Levi Murphy describes Jalen as the hardest worker on the team and is really going to shine this year, he should be getting every bit as much attention as any receiver/safety in District 3. He’s incredibly humble & a quiet kid. He will be a captain in the fall and I can’t wait to see what he is going to do.

Why do you play football?

I play football because it’s a big part of my family.

What is your GPA?

My GPA is a 3.4

What schools have expressed interest in thus far?

I’ve talked to recruiters from Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Howard, James Madison & Liberty.

What do you intend to major in upon entering college?

I’m still thinking about my major.

Favorite class?

Math

Favorite Athlete of all-time?

My favorite athlete of all-time is Julio Jones because I don’t see him do all the extra stuff he keeps his cool & he does his thing.

Favorite HS moment thus far?

My favorite moment is when I got my first touchdown off a pick 6.

What was the 2022 season for you like?

A learning experience, I got to be behind Kenny Johnson (Pittsburgh 2023 signee) and look at him as a role model.

2023 Individual and team goals? 

My goal for my team is to win a county championship and personal goal is to make a name for myself.

Favorite all-time football game (HS/College or Pro)?

Clemson v Ohio State semifinal in 2020.

Favorite meal?

Steak with Mac & Cheese and Salad

Favorite play to run?

Any fade ball outside shoulder

Hobbies outside of playing sports?

I like to swim and play video games.

Biggest fear?

Losing my family.

Who is the most inspirational person in your life?

My father

Best teammate and why?

Kenny Johnson because he would go out of his way to explain something, and he’d always have my back.

Did you play little league football and if so what organization?

Cougar Football

What should people know about Dallastown HS and football program?

We are a family, and everyone looks out for each other.

If you could meet anyone in history (Dead or alive) who would it be and why?

Kobe Bryant because I want to hear where his mentality came from.
