It isn’t often you see a quarterback in the wing-t throw for over 2,000 yards. He also ran for 300 plus, scoring 19 times to help the Warriors secure a division title. What helped is Brady’s talent, it’s also a reason that head coach Matt Heiser went to the spread offense. “We went away from the wing-t when he was a freshman starter for us. We wanted to play to his strength” said head coach (and Brady’s dad) Matt Heiser.

This year Brady would like to take his team a little further. Matt says “Brady started for us as a freshman at QB. Works hard at what he does. Going into his Junior year, he will be a 3rd year started at one of the most difficult positions on the field. Brady does a great job of leading his team with his high energy and excitement for the game”.

As for having dad as a head coach, Brady says “It has its pros and cons to be honest. I am able to talk football all the time with him and talk about what we need to do to put the team in the best position to win. At the same time though I am doubted and look down upon by a lot people. That being said I would not want anyone else to be my coach and I do not let other people words, actions, and feelings define me as a person or player”.

Matt says “It’s a blessing and a curse.  I got to coach both my boys. It’s meant a lot, we got to watch film together and talk football a lot. There are also roadblocks where I have to make sure when we cross that white line, I’m Coach. When we get back home it’s dad.  Both of them work their butts off and a lot of times I rely on my coaches and walk out of the room as far as determining starters.  When you lose, theres two people that get blamed. The head coach and the quarterback.  Some people take it right, some wrong. It’s been fun, but it’s also been tough”.
