He isn’t a big back, but as the saying goes “he plays much larger than he is”. Brycen Armold has that ability to find the hole, and if it’s not there he’ll make one. He’s got break away speed when needed with a 4.55 40 time. Brycen has been training with one of the best, Darryl Stokes, who says Armold is “explosive and fast”.

Head coach Dave Hahn says “Brycen was 1st in the LL League rushing and ranks 2nd all-time in single season rushing for Manheim Central falling 20 yards short of the school record. Many of Brycen’s yards came off of yards after contact.  He is getting interest from some FCS Schools, Division 2 and 3 programs at this time”.

Why do you play football?

I play football because of the brotherhood . I have made life long friends who will be my guys forever. Football has taught me to be mentally tough and when times get tough to keep pushing.

Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?

Barry sanders for sure he is the most humble player. After every run or touchdown he would hand the ball to the referee.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:

Week 5 of our season against warwick which is our rival team. First play of the game I had an 80 yard touchdown run.

What was last years season like for you?

Last year was special because everyone on our team had a close bond. Everyone enjoyed the season and it certainly was one we will never forget. It was my first year playing varsity and I just enjoyed every moment of it.

What are your goals for this coming season?

My goals for this upcoming season is to be first team All state again and win section.

Who is the best player you ever lined up against?

Riley robell he is a force that couldn’t be stopped.

What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?

I would love to visit Pennstate or Clemson for a game just because of the atmosphere.

What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?

Steelers or any Pittsburgh team

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?

Probably the 2022 AFC championship which consisted of The Chiefs and the Bills. The game was back and fourth the whole game and came down to the last seconds. It was just great football to watch.

What sports movie would you watch every day if you had to pick one and why?

Remember the titans . It is a movie that shows two completely “different” groups that come together for a common goal and figure out they aren’t so different and become best friends.

If your mom and dad are screaming at you from the stands, what is it they usually yell?

Go Bip that’s what my dad says it’s my nick name.

Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?

Id love to Win states

Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?

My mentor is Daryl Daniel’s. He has taught me so many things about being calm under pressure and preparing me for life after HS football.

Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:

Golf for the school team

What is your most embarrassing sports moment?

I caught a screen right before half during a big game and I had room to run and score but I slipped. Week two this year against Immaculata

Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?

My Nanny which is my grandmother. She comes to every game and makes shirts with my name on it.

When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?

I love to play basketball I’m not to great but it’s a great workout and it’s fun.

What is your favorite football memory to date?

This year after we beat LS which sent us to the district Championship in the locker room listening to Colt 45 .

What is your favorite play to run?

56/57 power

What restaurant is your go to when you need a big meal?

Chipotle

Avalon NJ

Do you remember what the first football game you saw was?

There is a picture of me watching the 2006 Super Bowl which was the Steelers beating the Seahawks .
