Davon brings an exciting blend of athleticism, size, and strength to the table. He will be one of our key leaders on both sides of the football, and he is poised for a tremendous senior season!

Coming off of a tough 4-6 season, where you were 2-3 both at home and on the road, what will it take for the Wildcats to roar loudly this season and have a successful playoff campaign?

I really think what it will take is purposeful preparation as well as the overall desire to want to win. At the end of the day, football is a physical game so all 11 guys on our side of the ball need to be ready to leave it all on the field every chance that they get. I also think that support from the community will go a long way going into each game.

What were the biggest things that stuck out to you from last season?

The biggest things that stuck out to me were our game scores, with us always being so close. As well as the overall attitude going into each game. I feel like we might have written off a couple of teams throughout the season before we even got to playing them.

How long have you played football, along with the biggest reason you continue to play?

I’ve played football for about 9 years now. I continue to play because there’s a certain feeling that football gives you when your team runs out onto the field or when you make a big play and your crowd is cheering for you, that I don’t think you can get doing anything else.

What are your personal goals for the 2023 season?

My personal goals for the 2023 season are to win as much as possible and dominate on the field in order to continue my football career in college.

If you could pick one new team to play in District 3, who would it be and why?

I would pick Boiling Springs because when we played them a couple of years ago somehow, the energy and competitiveness of that game was great.

What, if anything, have you done differently this year as far as preparing for the season, your last as a member of the Wildcats?

I’ve worked a lot more on my technique, especially on the defensive side of things. I’ve also been in the weight room a good amount. In the past I haven’t taken the off-season as seriously as I should, so I decided to change that in order to reach my goals for this year.

Where should the state finals be held, and why?

I think state finals should be held at the Milton Hershey field because all the fields and facilities they have over there are pretty nice.

Who is the best player you have ever faced on the field, along with the team he played for?

The best player I’ve faced on the field that I can remember is number 70 (I think) from Gettysburg last season. When it was just him it was somewhat challenging, but when he came down for the double team it was difficult.

What type of offensive lineman is the hardest to face in the game? Explain:

The hardest offensive lineman to face in the game for me is one that is overly nice. It doesn’t feel as fun to play against them when they’re like that.

What is one thing you like to do on the football field in a game that you probably will not get a chance to do?

I would like to play a full game mic’d up.

What is your best memory as an athlete?

My best memory as an athlete was going undefeated in my pony season because of all the friends I got to play with on that team.

What has been your most embarrassing moment as an athlete?

My most embarrassing moment as an athlete was celebrating when I thought I picked up a fumble, but it was a dead ball.

What is the toughest part of practice, along with your favorite part of practice?

The toughest part of practice is the end where everyone’s taking a knee while Coach talks because it kills my knee.

Where is the best spot in town to grab a good meal?

The best spot in town to grab a good meal is Jojo’s or Neato Burrito.

Which team any sport do you love to see lose?

I don’t really have one.

What is your favorite movie?

My favorite movie right now is probably They Cloned Tyrone.

What is your favorite class or subject?

My favorite class is Modern American conflict
