As you were preparing for the 2023 season, what had you done in the off-season to aid you in becoming a better player?

I lifted every day and spent basically every day on the field training, even through the winter months. I plan to do the same this off-season; even if I had a good season, there are still plenty of things I have to work on. Such as being a more reliable receiver and having better breakaway speed.

What were your personal goals for the season, and did you achieve those goals?

Statistically, I set a goal for 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns. While I didn’t get to 1,000 yards, I still averaged almost 8 yards a carry, and if I had 10–20 more attempts, I feel like I would’ve hit 1,000 yards pretty easily. Otherwise, I had goals to win in the playoffs and to be the first team in the league. I did make first-team all-league, but we got knocked out in the first round against a West Perry squad that might have seemed hard to beat, but I felt like we had a chance. As a team, we plan on winning being something we’re used to next year and making a run at districts.

You are listed as being 5–6, 160 pounds. When the opposing defense looks at you, what do you believe is their biggest misconception about your game?

They think I’m going to be easy to tackle based on my size. What they don’t realize is that I’m someone who squats over 500 pounds, and I’m shifty too. The two things usually add up to a pretty tough time bringing me down.

I was also able to see that you are listed as a running back and a middle linebacker. Which of the two positions is more fun for you to play? Explain

Running back easily, nothing beats the joy of running through people and scoring touchdowns. Linebacker is fun, but it’s nothing compared to that.

Up to this point in your high school football career, what has been your biggest achievement?

There hasn’t been much to talk about until this year, and I feel my greatest accomplishment this year was going on the road against one of our biggest rivals in Delone Catholic and running for 130 something yards and three touchdowns to get the win. That put us in the driver’s seat for a league championship.

As an athlete, what has been your most embarrassing moment?

In our last regular season game this past season, we were up big against Littlestown, a team that I felt we were better than, and we got comfortable late in the game and allowed them to come back. To be honest, I don’t think I’ve ever experienced a loss like that.

Looking at only the road games you have played, which has been your favorite or least favorite stadium to play in? Explain

West Perry was cool because, when you drive up there, it feels like they’re isolated from the rest of the world when you get there. Even if we didn’t win, it was a cool experience. I don’t really have a least favorite.

Where should the state finals be held?

At Acrisure Stadium, where the Steelers play, it’s a big arena with a really nice grass field.

If you could pick any stadium in the country to play a game in, where would it be, along with your reason?

Lambeau Field in Green Bay because of all the history behind it.

If you could change one rule in high school football, what would it be?

With all the uniform requirements, I like to express myself on the field.

What is your dream vacation spot?

Boston

X-box or Play Station?

I don’t really play video games, but probably Xbox.

Where is the best spot in town to grab a bite?

I always like to take the drive to Hanover and eat at whatever restaurant my friends or girlfriend are feeling that day.
