Coach says “Jackson Custer is our returning starter at quarterback. He was an honorable mention Lancaster-Lebanon Section I All Star last year where he was responsible for 15 TD’s through the air and on the ground. He has added 20 pounds in the weight room this offseason, while being a 3 sport athlete (Football, Basketball, Baseball). He has been leading our team throughout our spring and summer sessions. There has been a lot of interest in Jackson from college coaches in both football and baseball, highlighting his athleticism. His work ethic in the classroom is outstanding as he holds a 4.3 weighted GPA. He is our “field general” and a great deal of our success depends on him leading our team”.
LET’S GET TO KNOW JACK
Why do you play football?
I love football. It’s been a part of my entire life as my dad is a coach.
Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?
Could be any of the big 3 in Philly .. Hurts Embiid or Harper .. for how they embody their city and fanbase.
Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:
Week 2 of sophomore year against Central Dauphin East I caught the game winning touchdown and it was also my first touchdown.
What was last years season like for you?
Our team had a good year and my productivity increased from my freshman and sophomore years.
What are your goals for this coming season?
Be a sound football team and continue to grow and improve week to week .. playing our best football in late fall. As for me, no specifics, just doing whatever the team needs for success

Lining up against Cam Jones from Wilson as a freshman
What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?
Super Bowl 52 when the Eagles beat the Patriots as I’m an Eagles fan

The perfect teammate is knowing that teammate will do anything for the team no matter the variables.

Football brings people together over the consensus for the love of the game.
Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?
Either a one hand touchdown catch, pick six, or punt return touchdown
Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?
My dad. I’ve seen first hand how he teaches and leads individuals in a demanding but positive manner.

Any drill with competition is fun, and the ones with just a lot of running are a little less fun
Preseason Two a Days are:

My sister. While she wasn’t able to attend my games last season as she was in college, she was always looking for a live stream and asking about how I was playing.
When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?
Honestly I’m doing one of those three things all day everyday so in the little time I’m not just relaxing.
What is your favorite play to run?
Any play where I have a chance to make a play.
