Coach says “103 Total Tackles, 15 Tackles for a loss, 3 Interceptions, 1 Forced Fumble, 7 Pass break ups, 1 Sack, 2 Touchdowns Tyler Frey will be a 3 year varsity starter this fall. He is a tremendous athlete and the most explosive player in our program at Central York. He will also be involved in our offense this season. He is an exciting football player to watch”.

Why do you play football?
I play because I love it and it’s all I think about. Just love everything about the game and being part of the team and I’m just obsessed with getting better at it to.
Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?
Kobe Bryant because of his mindset is something I try to emulate
Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:
Pick 6 against Harrisburg sophomore year because it was the first score of the game in a really hyped up playoff game
What was last years season like for you?
It was really fun overall and I was really close with the seiniors who graduated that are all playing college football now, but overall my favorite season I had ever
What are your goals for this coming season?
To win districts and make a run for states
Who is the best player you ever lined up against?
Kevin brown from Harrisburg
What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?
Penn state whiteout game last year against Iowa. It was my favorite because it was the first white out game I’ve ever been to and it was so electric and the environment was something I’ve never experienced before
What would you do to improve the recruiting process?
Put your head down and keep working. Everything happens for a reason
Describe what the perfect teammate is
Someone who is selfless and wants the best for the team, and not worried about his own success all the time
Tell everyone why you think football is good for a community
It’s good for the community because it bring people together in a way nothing else does. Fall in pa is different and there’s nothing like it. It’s the best time of the year and I can’t wait to experience high school football one last time
Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?
Throw a td pass, which might happen this year because I am playing some qb 😭
Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?
I would say my dad because he pushes me to be better every single day and he was a college athlete to so he knows what the recruiting process is like and what it’s like to play in college etc
What is your favorite practice drill? What is your least favorite practice drill?
Favorite practice drill are the ladders and I don’t have a least favorite

Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?
Both sets of my grandparents. I’m so blessed to have them in my life and they have came to everything I’ve done for as long as I can remember which means the world to me. They are so exited for this season as well and I can’t wait to put on a show for them
When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?
Hanging out with friends because I love some down time away from football and working out to just be a kid and enjoy high school
What is your favorite play to run?
Any type of blitz off the edge
What is your favorite vacation destination?
Turks and Caicos
