Coach says “Micah Bowers was a 1st Team Division 1 Linebacker in the York/Adams League in 2023. He is one of the best open field tacklers I have ever coached. He has great intelligence as a Football Player. He sets our defense every snap. Micah has added 20 pounds of muscle over the past 9 months. He is the defensive leader of our Football team!
LET’S GET TO KNOW MICAH
Why do you play football?
I play football because I have loved the game ever since I was 6 years old. I feel like I have been doubted a throughout my football career but that just motivates me even more to play the sport that I love and to prove it to myself that I can accomplish the dreams and goals I have set for myself. because I know what I am about when I step between those white lines on Friday nights and I don’t care who is lined up against me. That’s why I play football
Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?
I would say Brian Dawkins because of his approach to every single football game and his effort mentality and toughness on the football field.
Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:
I would say my sophomore year when I hawked down Jaheim White on kick off to prevent a touchdown from happening.
What was last years season like for you?
Last years season was really fun to be able to play with those seniors that graduated and too have a great season with them it was just super fun.
What are your goals for this coming season?
I want to be the best defensive player in the whole district and to lead the state in tackles. Busy most importantly lead my team to a district championship and state title.
Who is the best player you ever lined up against?
Kevin Brown From Harrisburg
What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?
December 26, 2015 Ravens vs Steelers. I remember Antonio Brown reaching across the goal line on the last possession to win the game.
Describe what the perfect teammate is
Someone that challenges you every single day to be better and is always there for you when you need them.
Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?
Throw a touchdown Pass
Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?
I would say that my mom is my mentor because she is full of strength and toughness no matter what is placed in front of her and she is always kind and I strive for that every single day. Also my dad because he has always been there for me and has taught me everything about the game of football and he is just someone I aspire to be like when I get older.

Is there anyone in your family, besides your parents, you could consider your biggest fan? Who, Why?
I would say my Nana because she is always supporting me and sending me encouraging messages before and after my games and she has always been there for me.
When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?
Playing Pickleball with my friends and teammates because it is super competitive. Ps Brendyn Smith Can’t beat me
What is your favorite play to run?
I would say our all out linebacker Blitz
What is your favorite vacation destination?
I would probably say Florida
