WORDS FROM THE HEAD COACH:

Offense: TE. 2023 Stats- Receiving: 22 catches for 210 yards (9.8 yards per catch). 2 TD’s. Was selected first ream TE last season. One of the better TE’s I’ve coached over the years. Can play TE or move to slot. Big target. Great hands, runs good routes and good perimeter blocks. Good speed for a TE. Down blocks very well and gets on LB’s quickly. Good downfield blocker. Started previous 2 years. 2nd on team with receptions. Defense: OLB. 2023 Stats- 80 Total tackles. Led team with 8 TFL’s. Forced 2 fumbles, had 2 INT’s, 6 Pass Breakups, 3 Sacks, and 3 Hurries. He never comes off the field. Is a solid defensive player. Good all-around football player. Also plays basketball.

What is the best part of being a student-athlete at Schuylkill Valley High School ?
Winning football games with my team and working everyday with them to get better.

How long have you been playing football(any level) ?
6 years

Of all the road games you have played, which stadium had the best overall atmosphere, along with what made it so good ?
2022 Frost Bowl at Hamburg. We weren’t really expected to win but we pulled off the upset to finish second in the division.

If the game is on the line, do you want to be on offense or defense ? Explain:
Offense, because if I need to make a play, the defense doesn’t know what route I’m running.

As an athlete, what has been your biggest achievement ?
All Berks Second Team TE as a Sophomore.

What was the high point of the 2023 season ?
Beating Annville 14-13 and clinching a section 5 title.

What are you going to miss the most from the class of 2024 ?
The friendship and brotherhood we carried onto the field.

What are your goals for the 2024 season ?
Team goals are to win a District title and personal goal is to be named All State TE.

Who is your favorite sports star and why ?
TJ Watt because, he plays like he has nothing to lose.

Do you have a favorite play you remember the most ? Explain:
An interception I had where I got a hand on the quarterbacks pass, I tipped it up in the air and caught the ball when it came back down.

Who is the best player(s) you have ever lined up against and what team did they play for ?
Nick Singleton. We had a 7v7 against Mifflin my Freshman year.

What stadium, (HS/College/Pro) would you love to visit for a game ?
Appalachian State football field.

What is your favorite Pro Sports team(any sport) ? Explain:
Phillies. I’ve been a Phillies fan since I could remember.

What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why ?
2023 Northern Lebanon game. The final score was 7-6 and it was a defensive battle the whole game.

What sports movie could you watch every day if you had to pick one, and why ?
The Sandlot, because all the kids in the movie remind me of my friend and I.

Name one thing you’d love to do in football that may never happen ?
Throw a touchdown pass.

Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:
Golf

What is your most embarrassing sports moment ?
Missing a fast break layup.

When you aren’t playing, practicing, or training for sports, what is your go to activity, and why ?
Hanging out with friends because when I’m with them it makes time fly.

Which one, Sheetz, Wawa, or Rutters ? Explain:
Wawa, the food is fresher.

What is your favorite vacation destination ?
Bethany Beach

Heights

Favorite Fast Food/Burger place and why ?
McDonald’s, just because I end up going there over everywhere else.

Have you ever been to a professional sports game, which ones ?
Yeah lots of Phillies games and a couple Steelers games.

NBA, NHL, MLB, NCAAF, NFL, Which league is the best and why ?
NCAAF, Because I like watching kids fight everyday to try to get to the NFL while NFL is just a bunch of guys who already are getting payed.

Mountains, because it’s relaxing.
