Coach Says: Daniel is a technician at DB and will be going into his 3rd season starting for the Hillers. Daniel scored TDs via INT, Rushing, Returning, and Receiving. He plays anywhere on offense and is an elite CB on defense. Glass returns with All-Conference honors on both sides of the ball.
Why do you play football?
I play football due to the fact that I can’t live without it. Every day I wake up, I always think about football in someway or form. Whether I’m doing brakes around corners of my house or I’m practicing my back pedal in Long hallways.
It’s gameday! What are you looking forward to the most?
I look forward to the environment we’re playing at. The stands packed with fans from both teams really gets the nerves going.
Who is your favorite sports star and WHY?
My favorite sports star is Tank Dell. Like me tank isn’t the biggest or the strongest but his resilience and work ethic lead him to where he’s at right now.
Do you have a favorite play you remember the most? Explain:
My favorite play is my one-handed touchdown catch against Moon last season. This play really gave me the spark that I needed to have the confidence to dominate throughout the rest of the season.
What was last years season like for you?
Last season was the most fun I’ve ever had playing football ever. The player I was last season was a very big difference from my sophomore self. Our team chemistry was great, but we sadly came up short.
What are your goals for this coming season?
Wpials Champions, State Champions, First Team All Conference DB and ATH, All State DB and ATH
Who is the best player you ever lined up against?
The best player I ever lined up against was Braden White from Thomas Jefferson.
When the game is on the line, which college/professional coach would you like to call in the play?
I think Sean Mcvay of the fact he is a genius when it comes to offensive play calling.
What stadium, HS/college/pro would you love to visit for a game?
I would love to visit Clemson University.
What is your favorite Pro team, any sport?
My favorite pro Team is the Pittsburgh Steelers.
What game, yours, college or pro, was your favorite game you watched and why?
My favorite game I’ve ever watched was the Bills vs Chiefs game in 2022. I think that was the most glued I’ve ever been onto a TV ever.
What sports movie would you watch every day if you had to pick one and why?
I would probably watch the Waterboy every day just off the fact it’s such a classic and how funny it is.
If your mom and dad are screaming at you from the stands, what is it they usually yell?
Usually, it’s my dad yelling. He usually yells me a little YO, which will automatically turn my head then he usually just give me a little thumbs up.
Name one thing that you’d love to do in football that may never happen?
I would really love to throw a touchdown pass I Think that would be awesome.
Who is your mentor, the person you want to be like? WHY?
I would want to be like my father. He was a stud of an athlete and a heck of a football player as well. He’s one of the most humble guys I know and constantly just wants the best for me.
Name a sport you’d love to play but can’t:
I would love to play basketball, but I’m just not cut out for it.
What is your most embarrassing sports moment?
My most embarrassing sports moment I think is after I scored a touchdown against Moon. I immediately have to run the sideline and throw up in the trashcan right in front of the student section.
If you could only drive one car for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I think I would want to drive a Ford raptor just off of me being able to drive it on the road and if needed, I can go off-roading
When you aren’t playing, practicing or training for sports, what is your go to activity and why?
My go to activity is hanging with friends. My friends are some of the most important people in my life.
What is your favorite football memory to date?
My favorite football memory to date is when it was my first year playing football, and I seen my friends older brother in the opposite end-zone. So I told myself I was gonna go to school so I could see my friend’s older brother.
What is your favorite play to run?
My favorite play to run is when I’m the running back in the backfield and I get the runner a wheel route.
What scares you the most?
The thought of me falling off anywhere high, really creeps me out.
Music of choice:
I enjoy rap.
What is the most food you ever ate in one sitting?
The most food I ever ate in one sitting was two fish fillets two McChicken’s one big Mac and two double cheeseburgers.
What restaurant is your go to when you need a big meal?
My go to restaurant when I need a big meal is probably chipotle.
What is your favorite vacation destination?
My favorite vacation destination is probably the beach.
Do you remember what the first football game you saw was?
I can’t remember the year, but all I can remember is me watching the Clemson Tigers come off their bus and running down the hill into Death Valley.
