Archbishop Hoban was a formidable foe for Harrisburg to take on. A defending state champion from Ohio that commanded the offensive and defensive line. But, a first-play quick seam route that went the distance was a punch to the jaw that Harrisburg just couldn’t regroup from.

Defensively, Harrisburg struggled against inside passing, and as the game wore on, defending the run. A near pick-six was lost when the interception was dropped. And after one defensive stop, a quick turnover by the offense put the beleaguered defense back on the field. A 35-6 halftime deficit saw a running clock start with a third quarter TD by Hoban. The 30-point running clock continued despite Harrisburg notching one last score in the fourth quarter but failing on the conversion.
