“I have a great relationship with Coach Coen”

August 4th, 2023 will go down as a big day for the Wildcats. Max Preps 2022 PA Highschool Football Player of the Year Stone Saunders announced his verbal commitment to attend and play at Kentucky. The Four Star QB turned down offers from schools such as Wisconsin, Georgia, Michigan, Texas A&M, Pitt, Miami, and more. Ranked number six in the state for the 25′ class, the Wildcats have found their quarterback.

The 6’2 Pro Style Quarterback showed the nation his talents this past season when he threw for 3,583 passing yards on a 68.7% completion percentage. While throwing for 3583 yards, he boosted his stats by adding on his 54 touchdowns and only turning the ball over 5 times. Saunders finished his sophomore year averaging 255.9 yards per game and a QB Rating of 143.6. As he enters his Junior season and his third year as the starter, Saunders looks to add to his 6620 total yards and 100 touchdowns.

Saunders is the first verbal commitment to the Wildcat’s class of 25′ recruitment. Saunders is also the first commitment to Kentucky from the Pennsylvania area since David Washington Jr out of St. Joseph Prep. As Saunders Junior season comes closer, many wonder if he can top what he did in his sophomore year and shock the nation even more.
