Both Cumberland Valley and Carlisle came into the game with a 0-1 record, hoping to turn things around. Grant Shepley, the senior quarterback for Cumberland Valley, fumbles the snap in the first quarter but recovers it and scrambles around to deliver a 36-yard passing touchdown to Brody Pines for the game’s first touchdown. The kick was successful. After the first, Cumberland Valley is ahead 7 to 0.

With the second quarter opening up Brody Pines bounces to the outside and rushes one in for a 47 yard touchdown on the night getting him his second Touchdown of the night. On the next offensive drive Grant Shepley throws a 6 yard touchdown pass to Brody Pines for his third touchdown of the night. At the half Cumberland Valley leads 21-0.

Cumberland Valley chose to give freshman quarterback Colton Stamy some reps at the beginning of the third quarter, and he wasn’t scared to go out there and perform. From what I could see, he seemed to be in good shape. He has the ability to go deep, make plays, take off, and run when necessary. During the following Cumberland Valley drive, Brody Pines scores his fourth touchdown of the evening with a 2-yard rush.

Erik Barbacci, the senior running back, rushes into the end zone for six points in the fourth quarter, and the game is ended with a successful kick. Carlisle falls 35-0 to Cumberland Valley.
