James Buchanan Tops Susquenita

James Buchanan came ready to play on Friday night. It was held at the Susquenita Blackhawks’ Nest, yet the Rockets claimed the victory. Buchanan achieved a safety in the first quarter fueling their power for the rest of the game. To follow, they got two touchdowns with one successful two-point conversion. Although the Hawks didn’t manage to put any on the board, their defense held the rockets to only 16 points.

Susquenita senior Blaise Swancer (WR #6) says, “It was an unfortunate loss to a team we were able to beat. We have to reduce our number of penalties on offense. We are relying on the younger talent to step into varsity roles after losing over a dozen seniors last year and multiple injured starters.”

After this loss, Susquenita is on the path of rebuilding and looking ahead to their next game at Camp Hill.
