Top 5 Matches in LL/York Adams League for Week 1

1) Roman Catholic at Wilson- This is a very intriguing match-up that pits district 3 powerhouse Wilson vs an up-and-coming Roman Catholic from Philadelphia. Roman Catholic features Tyseer Demark 4 Star WR in the 2024 class along with several other playmakers.  Wilson is led by Cameron Jones dynamic returner and playmaker. Plus Wilson is always a very fundamentally sound team.

*****I will be covering this game on Friday for pafootballnews.com so follow me on Twitter: @footballcoach79

2) Hempfield at Dallastown- Very interesting match-up here. Dallastown brings back Pitt commit Kenny Johnson for Levi Murphy’s 1st game as head Coach. For Hempfield Coach George Eager is trying to build off of last year’s successful season which included beating Township and winning a playoff game. Should be a good one to check out.

3) Central York vs. Central Dauphin- Central York opens the 1st season in a while without a Pribula as a QB. Central Head Coach Yonchiuk did say he has a big roster that is ready to continue to do well in YAIAA. Central Dauphin a perennial power in the Mid-Penn had a down year with a 5-3 record last year, but is looking to rebound this year.

4) York High vs. Woodland Hills- In a neutral site game being played in Chambersburg for the Peach Classic, York High will face WPIA annual contender Woodland Hills. York High has a lot of momentum coming into this year and is led by West Virginia commit RB Jahiem White. Head Coach Russ Stoner is hoping to have a special year, but has a difficult task week 1.

5) Eastern York at Columbia- Rivalry game? Check. Former head coach goes to rival school? Check.  Bud Kyle left Columbia for Eastern York and Columbia is ready to play there former coach week 1. Brady Mathias Kyle’s former assistant takes over for him at Columbia.
